Black car service in New York City

Chauffeur service across NYC, New Jersey and the Northeast

Trans Dispatch arranges black car service across all five boroughs of New York City, from Manhattan to Brooklyn, plus Long Island and Westchester, and on to New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Massachusetts. Partner operators take the booking further, nationwide. Riders book us for airport runs, client meetings, dinners, shopping days and staff travel.

Pick a business sedan for up to 3 passengers, a premium SUV for up to 6 or, when the party grows, an executive Sprinter for up to 14. Book any of them point to point or by the hour.

The three classes that suit most rides are listed below. Had a different car in mind? Put it in your trip details; dispatch can check other vehicles and will come back with the one that suits your passengers, your bags and your timings.

Private car service: sedan, SUV or Sprinter

From a solo airport run to a team day out, most black car service bookings fit one of these classes. Capacities are typical for the class, and your quote names the exact vehicle. The sedan and SUV are compared below; see the executive Sprinter page for groups, or our limousine service for a stretch car.

Business sedan for executives and airport runs, up to 3

The usual choice for one or two travelers carrying up to 3 bags between them: an airport transfer to JFK, LaGuardia or Newark, or a Midtown executive going across town to a client lunch. Leather seating, bottled water, phone chargers, climate control and tinted rear windows are standard for the class.

Premium SUV for families and visitors, up to 6

Three rows and room for up to 6 bags make this the car for families with luggage and for corporate visitors spending a day between Hudson Yards and the Financial District. On board are tinted rear windows, leather seats, phone chargers and bottled water; ask dispatch about car seats when you book.

Executive Sprinter for groups of 7 to 14

The step up when 7 to 14 people want one vehicle: a team heading to an offsite, an airport group with up to 14 bags, or a brewery day on Long Island's North Fork. Expect forward-facing leather seats, reading lights, chargers and a rear luggage area. More on Sprinter van rental.

How it works

Book a chauffeured car in three steps

  1. Tell us the trip

Pickup, drop-off, date, time and headcount. Under a minute on the form — or a phone call if you would rather talk it through.

  2. Get a firm price

A dispatcher checks availability and replies with the vehicle class and the quote. Nothing is charged on this website.

  3. Ride

Confirm, and the chauffeur’s details reach you before pickup. Airport rides are matched to the flight, not the clock.

Black car service questions

Should I book a sedan or an SUV?

A business sedan carries up to 3 passengers and 3 bags, which covers most solo trips and pairs. Book the premium SUV for a fourth passenger, extra luggage or a car seat request, since it has three rows and room for up to 6 bags.

Do you offer hourly car service in NYC?

Yes. Hourly and as-directed bookings have a minimum, shown on your quote, and the same car and chauffeur wait while you are inside each stop. It suits a day of meetings, a property tour or an evening across several venues.

Can I book a long-distance car service from NYC?

Yes. Rides to cities such as Boston, Cambridge, Hartford and Philadelphia are quoted as a flat transfer rather than by the hour. Tell dispatch the time you need to arrive and the quote will work back from it.

Can the price change after I confirm?

The quote you confirm prices the trip as you described it: a flat price for a transfer, or a block of hours for an hourly booking. Tolls, parking and gratuity appear as separate lines, and adding hours or a stop changes the total, so ask dispatch for an updated quote.

How will I recognize my car at pickup?

Your confirmation names the vehicle and the chauffeur, so you know what to look for. At a crowded curb, such as a hotel entrance or a Midtown lobby, the chauffeur waits as close as traffic allows, and dispatch can connect you if you cannot spot the car.

Can I book a car for someone else, such as a client?

Yes. In the booking notes, give the passenger’s name and a mobile number the chauffeur can reach on the day. The quote and the confirmation still come to you, and you share the pickup details with your guest.

Can I book the return ride at the same time?

Yes. Send both legs in one request as a round trip, with a pickup time for each. If the return depends on how a meeting or dinner runs, an hourly booking keeps the car with you instead, and dispatch can price both options.

Can the car make a stop on the way?

Yes. Add the stop when you book, such as collecting a colleague in Brooklyn on the way to JFK, and the quote reflects it. Changes on the day go through dispatch rather than an app.
