Coach bus rental with a driver in NY, NJ, PA, CT and MA
Planning a group trip from New York City, Long Island or Westchester, or starting in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut or Massachusetts? Trans Dispatch arranges charter bus rental with the driver included, and partner operators cover trips that begin anywhere else in the country.
A motorcoach carries groups of up to 56 passengers; smaller groups can book minibuses for 24 to 35 or Mercedes Sprinters for up to 14. Each is quoted in writing with the vehicle named before you confirm.
Every class is described on the vehicle fleet page, and trips that start in the city have their own New York City page.

Charter bus rental by trip type
Most group trips follow one of a few patterns, and the vehicle follows the headcount. Models and capacities are class-typical; your quote names the exact vehicle. For tour bus rental over several days, send the full itinerary so the driver’s hours are planned in.

Corporate charter buses
Typical corporate trips:
- Business conferences and trade shows at the Javits Center
- Corporate retreats and offsites
- Team travel between offices and sites
- Airport group transfers at JFK, LaGuardia and Newark
On board the motorcoach:
- Reclining seats
- Power outlets
- Climate control
- Under-floor luggage bays and overhead storage
- A restroom
- Wi-Fi and screens, which vary by coach, so ask dispatch
Roadshows, airport runs and employee shuttles are covered on the corporate transportation page.

School and college charter buses
Typical school and college trips:
- Field trips and museum days
- College visits and campus tours
- Academic competitions
- Sports teams and away games
School groups ride the same motorcoaches, with a restroom on board, reclining seats and luggage bays. The pickup, the stops and the return time are written on the quote, with the driver’s hours planned around the day.
Wedding guest charter buses
A coach or a minibus takes parking, late arrivals and wrong turns off the wedding day, so guests arrive together and leave together.
- Hotel-to-venue shuttle loops
- Ceremony to reception runs
- Several pickup points on one timeline
- Destination and out-of-state weddings
- Large guest lists on one or two coaches
Dispatch builds the timeline with your planner or venue coordinator; the wedding transportation page shows how.

Smaller groups: a minibus for 24 to 35
When the group is 24 to 35 people, a minibus is often the better fit for conference days, office-to-venue transfers and airport pickups, and it reaches curbs a full coach cannot. Scheduled shuttle loops are covered under minibus and shuttle bus rental.
Smaller still: a Mercedes Sprinter for up to 14
For 14 or fewer, a Mercedes Sprinter carries the group on forward-facing leather seats, with reading lights, chargers and room for up to 14 bags. It suits executive trips, airport transfers and event transportation. See Sprinter van rental with a driver.

Charter bus rental questions
How much is a charter bus rental?
Each trip is priced on its own, because a five-hour local run and a three-day tour to Washington are very different jobs. Send the pickup address, the destination, the headcount and the times you leave and return, and the written quote names the coach and the price for that trip.
How many passengers fit on a coach?
A full-size motorcoach carries up to 56 passengers with luggage bays underneath. For 24 to 35 people a minibus is usually the better fit; for 14 or fewer, an executive Sprinter.
Where does our luggage go on the coach?
Suitcases ride in the under-floor bays, and smaller bags fit in the overhead storage above the seats. If the group is bringing sports equipment, instruments or luggage for a multi-day tour, say so in your quote request so the space is planned in.
Can the bus take us out of state?
Yes. Boston, Hartford, Philadelphia and cities further afield can all be booked from New York. For a group starting outside our region, a partner coach runs the trip while our dispatcher keeps the booking.
Can the coach collect our group from more than one address?
Yes. List each pickup in order with a headcount for every stop, and dispatch checks that a full-size coach can reach each curb. If one address sits on a narrow street, meeting at a nearby hotel or corner usually keeps the timeline intact.
Is one coach or two minibuses better for our group?
One coach keeps up to 56 people together with a single driver and the bags in the bays. Two minibuses suit a group that needs to split up, reach tight curbs or leave at different times. Ask for both in your quote notes and compare.
Can we plan meal and rest stops on a long trip?
Yes. Add each stop to the itinerary with a rough time and how long the group needs, such as lunch at a service plaza on the way to Boston. The stops count toward the booked hours, so dispatch plans the route and the return time around them.
